New Mi Mix 2 screen auto rotation not working in MIUI 12 stable

Hey, a few months ago I upgraded from MIUI 11 stable to the latest MIUI 12 stable on my Mi Mix 2 with a regular clean flash (wiping only the necessary partitions), but screen auto rotation doesn't seem to work. I have it enabled in the settings and also tried turning it off and on, but it doesn't fix it. I have checked in the debug menus and gyroscope and other sensors seem fine. I thought it may be related to broken persist partition, but since I haven't wiped it or anything related to it and it also worked before in MIUI 11, I doubt that this would be the case.
