New Mi11 5G Bug

The phone seems to mistake 4G with 5G since it appears the G502 symbol even tho I don't have 5G in my areas, and other apps report 4G LTE.

As I know. That should not relate mobile device, the 5G signal trigger by service provider mobile network.
You can serch word "5G, NSA".
