Mi8 Pro - Google Maps Issue

Latest Beta Eu (9.1.10) rom installed . Google Maps navigation is terrible , other GPS apps like Waze work fine.
Why Google Maps is so bad in this phone?

Uninstall google maps updates and use the version supplied with the rom

I have no such option , since it appears that Google Maps is not System app. My only option is to completely uninstall it from the system , to clear data and cache

Was it a clean flash to 9.1.10 or did you upate a previous xiaomi.eu release ?
Try deleting all app data then and reinstalling google maps then..

Also check/reset your agps settings

Search for "A-GPS", set according to this screenshot and then more\save at the bottom.
You can also try updating/clearing a-gps data in GPS Test app.

It was clean install , tried clearing data and uninstall and install..nothing works..my issue is only with google maps

Yeah I'm aware, couple people had that on MI 8 and the last reported fix was uninstalling gmaps updates:

thanks for your input already checked to find a solution. Uninstalling updates option is only for system apps and this is not one.

did you try installing an older version like 9.85.2 via APK ?

No I believe it is a pain in the ass To try different apks until i find the appropriate one
