My stock mi8 reboots after I unlock it and the cause is a Xiaomi app I believe, I get the msg "find device closed unexpectedly" and the phone reboots within a few seconds. Here is the kicker the phone is in USB charging mode and seems to reset back to it even if I manage to change it before it reboots so I can't uninstall the app through adb (also unsure if I have USB debug enabled). It's not rebooting in the lock screen though only when unlocked. This is how I found this tool that seems so good and I wanted to try to use the un-brick phone option to see if I can recover any data at all as nothing else I've tried has worked.
But I'm having an issue, I put the phone in Fastboot mode and as soon as I try to run the tool I hear the Windows disconnect sound and phone screens turn dark except for a small text saying "Press any key to shutdown". So if any of you Xiaomi wizards have any ideas or pointers I'd be very grateful.
