Hello,

as i wanted to give the custom ROM of the new MIUI13 a try, I have backed up my device via google and flashed the new custom ROM found on here. I am now having trouble restoring the google backup as there is no option during the initial setup. And i can't seem to be able to push a backup restore. Any suggestion? My messages and calls are empty.

thank you!

Did you solve your problems?

Well..I had to roll back to the Stable Rom. Apparently there's no way to restore a backup made on a stable rom and then use it on a custom one. I think it has to do with the version CN vs XM.
i have same problem with 13.04 stable rom on my mi 11. it´s a EU rom...

sorry to hear that. I have also asked the google support they weren't really helpful. To be honest I don't think it's something anyone can help with unfortunately

I can't understand why. I've used Google backup in many custom ROMs, switching from stock ROM.

Only CN based phones do this ?

Hello. I was searching online for this. I flash custom ROMS for people, but they want their Google-backups to be restored. Do you know if I have to install all the Google apps, like the full package of NikGapps, to be able to restore, or is a minimal package also an option? On one of my phones I installed MindtheGapps and that doesn't include all the Google apps.
It would be great if you could be of assistance in this.

I am only on this forum for this question, so if you could, please send your answer to my e-mail address klaasstap @ hetnet.nl. Thank you!
