Hello, is it possible to install themes on MiPad? I noticed there is theme.apk running but cannot find how to change anything other than wallpaper/lock screen. I have tried downloading and manually copying theme file and it is recognised as theme file but cannot run and install. Thx!

It will be added eventually. The Mi Pad is Xiaomi's first tablet and Miui for tablets is still in development. Hopefully, if not before, when we get Miui v6 it will have themes.
It is quite disappointing that we get such great hardware but aren't told when we buy it that the software isn't complete.

There are no updates for the Mi Pad for a few weeks while they work on v6 for us. There will be a beta at some point (not sure if we will get that or just the final version) and then they will release v6!
Maybe they should have released the Mi Pad when they actually had a completed MIUI as by the time it arrives the next Nexus may be out with 64bit Nvidia Tegra and I may move along.
