On my ROM from xiomi.eu I can see the band of each WLAN in the list of WIFI hotspots.
5G = only 5 GHz band
2,4G, 5G = 2,4 GHz and 5 GHz band
none = only 2.4 GHz band
If you want even more information you should enable Developer Options and then select Setting -> Additional Settings -> Developer options -> Enable WLAN Verbose Logging. Then you will see more informations in WiFi list.

Thanks for the tip.... I have both bands in my network. So I see the 2.4/5 ghz in the wifi list.
So it's not possible to see on which band the phone is connected at that moment.
