I'm currently running v5, what I'd like to know is, am I ok just updating straight to v7 from v5 using twrp or via updater?

Dont know. but i try the V7 and the bluetooth connection is going up and down when try to connect to my car. if you need that i dont recommend to go to V7

I don't recommend v7. Slower than v6 and the ram using is very poor. But I don't make clean install clean

Ive just updated, so far it seems/looks ok. Do I need to update my twrp recovery from 2.5.0.0 to 2.8.4.0? If so do I just install the zip using twrp?

I'm sorry I don't have a copy of v5. I've upgraded to v7 now as well

If 2.5.0.0 working fine, there's no need to update it. Unless the new version got some improvement that you want. If you want to install it, just copy the img file to sdcard or otg. Then flash it on your recovery partition. There should be the option to install zip or image on twrp install tab.

I confirm this bug, that comes from V6 so I don't think they will have a solution.
Its always sad when they move versions without leaving the previous one in perfect working condition.

Hi, how did you upgarde it? I'm using miui v5 and i want to update to latest stable miui v7. I used the updater with the latest stable rom and I recieve an error after some time.

When I've upgraded to v7 to check Bluetooth bug (which hasn't been fixed) I've never updated to v6 1st. I do it this way...download twrp 2.8 & v7. Boot to recovery (twrp 2.5) install twrp 2.8, now do not reboot, pull the battery out (10seconds) , put battery back in & holding down power button & vol down go back to recovery & you should have twrp 2.8 installed. Do full wipes & then install v7. As always do a back up 1st via twrp.
