Miui 8.7.26 OTA bug

Since no one seems to have an answer for my problem in the Miui 8.7.26 topic. Is anyone else getting this bug report when trying to do the OTA update? I can search and find the 8.7.26 update through the updater. However when I click the update button, it says "updater has stopped" and I can generate the bug report (see attachment).

Delete all old md5 files from your internal storage..

Since someone posted the ROM download link in the official topic, I flashed that one manually. Everything is ok now, but still a weird bug though
