I'm sorry but I don't agree the point that I can't call it "an issue with xiaomi.eu ROM". A bug that cannot be reproduced by dev/test is still a bug. More over that, this issue does not happen on official ROM.

Sure, but a dev can't fix an issue he can't see, especially an issue that's related to Google, which we don't have any access to.

Yeah, looks like failure in automatic setup of carrier APN leads to this error.
I hope the dev team could work on a fix. Not all carriers can setup their APN automatically. Mine is Red Pocket Mobile, which is a reseller. They require manual configuration of APN.
