I am on a Pay-As-You-Go tariff so accurate data reporting is important to me. Based on the following do I have a mobile data mis-reporting issue in the Notifications Shade screen?

If I go into “Settings” then “SIM Cards & Mobile networks”: -

“Data is on” = On

“Set Data Plan” / “Data Usage” = On

“Data Plan” (Monthly): -
Peak data limit = 300.0 MB
When data plan is used up = Warn & turn Off Mobile data
Data usage warning level = 80%
Usage reset date = 1

“Enter data usage”: -
Set data usage = 300.0 MB

“Data usage warning”: -
Daily data usage limit = On
Size = 9 MB (3% of monthly rate)
Data usage warning = 5 MB
………………………………………………………………………………………………..

4th July 2020
- The “Notifications shade” screen showed “Today 3.3MB” and “Plan exceeded 3.3MB”.

Question - Is this an operating system bug causing “Plan exceeded” figure to be mis-reported or are my settings wrong?

Thanks for any replies.

If it helps anyone else I discovered the problem: -

The “Enter data usage” and "Set data usage" are so that you can enter the MB used up to the date you are entering the data. As an example, if you have used 10 MB then enter "10" and "OK" it. The "Notifications Shade" screen will then show "Remaining 290.0 MB" (for that month) which is correct (in my example).

I assume this "Remaining 290.0 MB" will reduce as mobile data is used.

Hope this helps others with same misunderstanding of what “Enter data usage” and "Set data usage" means.
