Same phone... Only difference is 2/3 GB RAM and 16/32Gb storage....

3s also has fingerprint.

Works ok on xiaomi.eu dev. rom 7.6.21 (miui 8)... or last stable (miui 7)

India redmi 3s 2gb/16gb doesn't have fingerprint sensor. Chinese redmi 3s both configuration with fingerprint sensor, in India only the 3gb/32gb (prime). I believe they use the model referred to as redmi 3x in China as the Base variant 3s in India (hence no fingerprint sensor).
