Notifications on AOD

Hello all,
I was on Pixel Rom and was getting used to the notifications an the always on display.
But with the latest xiaomi.eu version 9.3.14 i don't get any notifications from my normally used apps.
That's annoying. Is there a solution for it?
I couldn't find one, except that I'm not alone...

You have to enable them manually for each app

Yes I did. Since then I get notifications on the Lock screen but no still no icon on aod.

Unfortunately only few apps support notification in AOD screen and this may not be changed manually

Ah ok. then its not my fault.
I guess I'll go back to Pixel Rom, because that's annoying.
