Invalid Outdated icons

Why are some app icons, specially Google apps looking outdated? In Global ROM they show the right ones from the Play Store.

not really... it wipes the icons and some stuck with the old one... miui uses overlays... so...

exactly... flash it, wipe davlik -> go to themes and re-aplly Default

Does anyone know how to put the original miui 12 font? I noticed that eu rom changed it to roboto but I want the original one.

Ok, I did it but all icons remain the same. I tried with both your MIUI11 and MIUI12 zips, did all the steps but nothing changes...

The icons are more or less the same. What is changed is the facebook icon and other icons which are outdated and all of them gets rounded...

Yes, I know what you mean but for some reason they don't change for me...

I flashed the zip, wipe cache & dalvik, reboot, loaded another theme, went back to default theme but everything is the same.

that is really interesting... for some people it works, for some does not :|

There is a folder with this icon. Is in the system.

for me it doesent work, did all the steps.

I deleted only the png and folders into miui_mod_icons. You need to delete png of icon you want to restore manually. Not all folder. This working for miui 12. After that re-apply the same theme

but whatsapp, facebook, facebook messenger won't be the same...

just installed the same on MIUI 11 stable and works great for me...
