Phone Speaker Not Working – Need Help!

Hey everyone,

I’m having an issue with my phone speaker—it suddenly stopped working. There’s no sound from videos, calls (on speakerphone), or notifications. However, audio works fine through headphones and Bluetooth.

I’ve tried restarting the phone, checking for software updates, and even cleaning the speaker grille, but no luck. The phone hasn’t been dropped or exposed to water recently. Could this be a software issue, or is my speaker just dead?

Any troubleshooting tips before I take it in for repair?

Based on what you said, it might be a few things. First, look at your sound settings to see if you turned on silent mode or turned off the speaker. If that's not it, try resetting network settings— that can sometimes fix it. Also, see if any apps are stopping the sound.
If none of those fixes work, it could be a problem with the speaker. If so, your best move might be to take it to a repair place. I hope it gets fixed!

If your Mi phone's speaker suddenly doesn't work, don't worry. First, check if the phone is in silent mode or Do Not Disturb mode is on if these are the case, no sound will come out. If it is connected to something else via Bluetooth, then the sound goes there. If dust or something gets into the speaker hole, the sound will also decrease clean it with a soft brush or air.

Then restart the phone once, sometimes it fixes everything. Keep the phone's volume up properly go to Settings > Sound & vibration and check. If it still doesn't work, then type *#*#64663#*#* in the phone's dialer and run a hardware test, see if the speaker sounds.

You can also try using a tool called Fix My Speaker, which can expel water or dust through vibration. Finally, if nothing works, take it to Mi's authorized service center. If you give it to the shopkeepers, they will damage it, so be understanding, brother.Hopefully, if you remember these tricks, your phone's speaker will be fixed.
