on my stock rom (samsung s2) you could do this by holding the home button + power button, is there a way to do this in miui or it uses different keys?

I thought it was the same for all MIUI builds lol. By the time you typed out that post you could of tested it
I don't have an Evo 4G to test.
My EVO's broken (and I'm in class). Got a chance to install the ROM before the battery died. Just doing a little research lol

It didn't work when I just did it. It took me to the MIUI screen when you turn it on and it just stopped there. Any other suggestions?

This is what I would do. Try options of Vol Up/Down with all the on screen buttons.
