Problem with vowifi roaming in usa

Hello,
I'm from Peru but currently in usa for vacations. Since I arrived I can't use vowifi. According to my home operator this is because my phone is blacklisted in usa. I suspect this is because xiaomi.eu is based on Chinese rom. Is there a way to change the name of the device to poco f2 pro?

The carrier doesn't read the device model. You have to make sure that roaming is enabled and you have selected the proper mdn from modem tools
