Question about GPS features

Hi there, I am running xiaomi.eu_multi_HMK20ProMI9TPro_V10.4.6.0.QFKCNXM_v10-10.zip and seem to be having the issue that I can't seem to be able to have 2 apps use GPS at the same time.

I am using "waze" to navigate and "TomTom Speed Cameras - Alerts & Live Traffic" - but I can't seem to get them workign at the same time. Whichever I use first will work.

Can anyone confirm that GPs should work for 2 apps in parallel?

It works without a problem for me.
Check in the settings whether the applications you want to use have energy saving turned off (it can run in the background).

THanks. Both apps had permissions to access GPS all the time but I didn't check the battery saving options thinking an app "would only be considered running in the background" while the phone was actually locked but you might be on the right track, waze would be the primary running app while TomTom was running as a small icon as an overlay.
I've excempted both apps from the battery saver, lets see how it goes. I'll reply here once I take my next car ride.
