Redmi 3s 2gb Or 3gb?

An old guy wants to get a new device...
Now, the thing is I'm not sure if he should have the 3GB version or the 2GB.
he has basic uses like surfing the web, camera sometimes etc etc...
Those with 2GB devices, do you suffer any limits because of the 2GB? or are you satisfied with it.

Miui heats a lot of ram, if you can 3gb it's better, if he uses whatsapp, and camera or photo apps, he might need the extra gb of ram to use it better, for basic use 2gb is better, but even for instagram 3gb is better

I have 3S with 2 GB. I do not use Whatsup or similar social media progs, I do not play games. After reboot, it has 1,1 GB free. Minimal free ram after my "heavy" use was 550, usualy around 730. Only problem I have is Here navigation in offline mode sometimes does not start if first I do not clear memory before starting it.
