Redmi 4 Forgot My Pattern, What Now???

hi,
i forgot my pattern to unlock my xiaomi redmi 4 screen.
i found my phone via google an i had read, that i can lock and unlock it with this.
so i locked it and sent a code to unlock it. but i cant put in the code anywhere. the phone still wants the pattern. is there any idea for unlocking the phone without factory reset? i dont want to lose my data with pictures and notices for my work and so on.
afterf any try phone is locked for 2 hours. please help, i am at the hospital an my phone is the only thing i have here to kill time....thank you

hey, if you remember your mi account password, you could just wipe your phone inside recovery.. after that you should be able to set up a "new" phone. In the wizard the phone will recognize that this phone is already bounded with an mi account and for that you should remember your mi account password.
