Redmi 5 screen does not respond

Sometimes my screen does not respond to my touching, i need to close the screen, unlock by pin or fingerprint to make it respond again, sometimes need to lock/unlock more then once. Factory reset does not help.
Does this sound familiar?

It's a device problem, I had the same problem, switched to pie and was almost gone, on miui 11 now and it's a lot more frequent. You can't solve this

Sad . The device is unlocked but not rooted and still on stock rom. Would switching to non stock rom not solve it?
