Whenever I want to play vedio on my phone, it automatically plays using Mi vedio, pls how do I make use of of another video player like VLC, which can play the video automatically without selecting VLC to play it. That is to play is automatically.

Go in phone's settings => Manage apps => Apps =>"3-dots" menu (top-right) => Manage default apps => Change "Play video" app here

Thanks Poney70. Have done that multiple times even before you suggested such, but it's still the same thing. I really don't know how to go about it again, except you have another suggestion which could help sorting it out.

Yes, I have another suggestion:

Go in phone's settings => Manage apps => Apps => Find "Mi Video" (app name can be translated to your system language) and tap it => At the very bottom, you can remove/cancel default apps so do that.

Thanks but I couldn't see any option where I can remove / cancel default apps except for the first suggestion you gave that couldn't work
. It is possible I can't get it done, perhaps it's meant to be like that?

It's "Clear defaults" (= at the very bottom).
