So i wanted to update to 12.5 today but by the looks of things there is no. So my question is will there be stable 12.5 for Note 7 or is it discontinued?

Yeah yeah. But the reason is I didn't received any. When i clicked check for update it says You're up to date. Is that normal?

Yes, you couldn't find new updates in "Updater" app because previous Stable ROM version was too old and didn't have the new "Updater" app (released: April, 1th 2021) with a fix for that.

Search for MixPlorer https://mixplorer.com/
UnHide from there may work for the new File Manager or at least you may see them and manage it.

You mean UnHide or are they Encrypted too?
Just seen "Private Files" on Xiaomi's File Manager Menu, it asks for your Password's Account.
I guess that's to Decrypt them.

ok this is the problem
when i scrolled down in the file manager app and after i giving my password (or fingerprint) sometimes it showing me hidden files
but when i tried to unhide them there is nothing happens
also i can't hide any kind of file or folder. it says Couldn't hide files, try again.
So this is a bug?
If you please can me find me a older version of this file manager (zip file) to flash it from recovery?

Since you used another File Manager (from Google Play Store) I don't know if you can recover your files now...
But here's the previous version of the File Manager app (extracted from MIUI 12.0.3.0 by Xiaomi.eu for Redmi Note 7), you only have to install this zip in TWRP => TWRP_Mi_File_Manager_xiaomi.eu_4.2.1_Installation.zip
Reboot and that's all.
