Hi,
there are several versions of the phone in china:
TD-SCDA
WCDMA

I have read that the TD version can be changed to support WCDMA with a different ROM.
I was wondering if this was tested here?
it has a big impact on price... 30-40USD less for the TD version...
I am thinking of purchasing this phone...

I bought the TD version and I'm using it in Finland, but my subscription is not 3G. Tell me if you need any screenshot from the phone, I'm using an sMUI Development ROM based on MIUI7 from 8.10

Can you go into engineering mode and see what frequencies are enabled?
You would probably need mobile uncle

All the phones are TD I think... The versions are FDD-LTE and TDD-LTE

they have 3 version:
1. RMB 799 => TD-LTE, CPU 2.0, ROM 16G
2. RMB 899 => TD-LTE/FDD-LTE, CPU 2.0, ROM 16G
3. RMB 999 => TD-LTE/FDD-LTE, CPU 2.2, ROM 32G

1 and 2 are same in hardware, only different firmware.
but for mobile signal, all of them are same. they support same band mode. (so only one rom here...)
