Rom Differences 7.9.x Vs 7.8.x

Hello All,

I am relatively new to the Xiaomi world and I am wondering if someone could explain me, what are the differences between the ROMs MIUI 9 7.9.x vs 7.8.x?

I am running 7.8.31 on my MI MAX 2 but could not find any differences with the 7.9.8.

If you looks at the official MIUI forum (http://en.miui.com/forum.php) you can find the changelogs. For the Xiaomi.eu ROM there are usually less changes on top of that as they put the same modifications on every update.

Thanks for the reply but is the 7.9.x like a developer / edge branch and the 7.6.x a stable?

• 7.9.x = Beta
• 7.8.x = Stable

A little bit misleading. All ROMs 7.x.x are released weekly, hence considered beta. The latest stable ROMs are found here:

and these are not 7.x.x.

Thanks for the clarification, but then what is the real difference between the versions 7.9 and 7.8, this is clearly not described anywhere.

i think this should explain it:
7.9.7 - released in septermber 7
7.8.31 - released in august 31
7.x.y - released in x month y day
