Sms contact issues

Some of my contacts do not show up in the stock sms app. Cant select then by typing the name and they do not show up in the list you can get to from the app. They do show up in the regular contacts app. If I send one of those contacts an sms, from ANY sms app, they end up at the bottom of the list with the time stamp being 1/31/11.. Should I just try a reflash of the ROM?

It might have something to do with them having the default number set as a mobile or land line. If the default number isn't designated to be a mobile then the sms program won't let you send a text to it. Hope that helps...

Didnt work for me. Any other suggestions? Only contacts that appear in sms or mms are facebook with phone numbers.

I'm.having an issue where miui doesn't work with long text messages. I type a text that can sometimes be more than 5 lines & it gets undelivered.
