Steps to sell my phone

Hi all,
Very sadly I am switching from my Mi Max 3 with the beautiful eu rom of Miui 11 to a similarly sized Huawei phone because I really need WiFi calling. Comparing the operating systems it's so clear that Xiaomi is streets ahead!
Anyway, my Mi Max has to be sold. To do this securely do I just sign out of my Xiaomi account on the phone and then fully wipe and reinstall the eu rom? Will this make it fully secure and remove my account from it? Or does a full wipe remove my account anyway?

Remember remove your google account before wipe. (or enable unlock oem)

Or the new buyer couldn't use it.

And remember to remove/unbind your phone from your Mi account. Otherwise the new owner is not able to bind it to his own account.
