Stock music player

Is there any way to remove the stock music player? I use Smart Audiobook player as I only ever listen to books and it has the exact features I need. I bought headset droid so I could control the player with my headset, but every so often (random) pressing play/pause on the headset kicks off the stock music player even though I've specified smart audiobook player as the target app.

you could delete the apk from /system/app/MiuiMusic.apk or use titanium backup to backup, then freeze or uninstall.

search over settings (via search button ;p), you should find soomething like default apps, so switch to music app you like
