Strengthening the battery

I use in Hebrew MIUI rom 2.2.3.
The battery is very weak in this version.
How can you strengthen the battery? Is there a to install kernel to improve device performance and the battery?

Hello,

For starters you could upgrade to the newest version of 2.2.17. The ROMs can be found here: http://miuiandroid.com/community/threads/miui-rom-2-2-17-gb-all-devices.15415/

As for the battery drain. Lots of things can lead to that.

1. Make sure your brightness is on automatic
2. Make sure you don't have a large amount of widgets
3. Try a different kernel, depending on your phone.
4. Wipe your battery stats. So drain your battery to 0%. Till it dies. Plug it in then recharge it to 100%. Reboot it into recovery mode. Unplug the power connection, and go to "Advance -> Wipe Battery Stats"

Read the topic. I've never used Hebrew. I simply linked you. If that patch works with 2.2.17 then great. I'd still do a nanddroid backup to be sure.
