Suggest TWRP for Redmi Note 7 Pro China stable rom

Hello guys! I cannot flash the weekly EU dev rom for Redmi Note 7 pro because I cannot install TWRP On my device. On the part where I have to wipe the userdata On adb it says that my phone has f2fs format and cannot be wiped through adb. I am trying to flash TWRP 3.3.0.0 by Doomsday On xda. I am On China stable rom 10.2.8.0. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Here is the latest official TWRP for Redmi Note 7 Pro (violet) > Download

You don't have to wipe through ADB command.

Here's what you have to do:

1. Copy MIUI EU ROM to internal storage root and enter fastboot mode
2. Copy TWRP to minimal ADB folder and flash it via command > fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
3. Enter TWRP via command > fastboot boot twrp.img
4. Wipe Dalvik / Art Cache; Data and Cache (leave the others unchecked)
5. Flash EU ROM

If it asks for password decryption prior to booting into TWRP you should be able to cancel the dialog and go directly to wipe. Otherwise the password should be: default_password

I did followed them but:
In step 12, the command cannot format userdata
In step 14, the screen just stops like the one I sent

You are probably using a USB 3.0 port which sometimes causes problems, especially when it comes to recognizing devices through command terminal. It's best to use a USB 2.0 port for such operations. Try again and let me know if it works.

I had exactly the same problem - solution in my case: instead of fastboot format userdata type fastboot erase userdata

It's odd that some people have to use "format", while others need to use "erase" in order to get passed that step. Not sure what's the reason behind this. What USB port did you use? Was it 2.0 or 3.0?

I was able to install like ranXeron and miui.blog, but when I reboot again to install the ROM, the TWRP lost

got this method on rom downloads tab;

• TWRP Recovery Zip DOWNLOAD or TWRP.ME
• FORMAT /data partition (NEVER wipe System or Persist!)
• Copy our ROM to the internal storage
• Install our ROM
• Reboot
• done

it says that FORMAT /data partition (NEVER wipe System or Persist!) on your instruction you said "4. Wipe Dalvik / Art Cache; Data and Cache (leave the others unchecked)"

which is which should i follow? thanks

I change EU rom successfully but the problem is my internal storage is i I think corrputed. I cant install apps, stock camera is looking for sd card error. This happens after installing twrp the folders name is different I deleted some of it now my internal storage is only 100+ gb. does anybody has a fix on this?

try clean install with formate data partition, not wipe its formate data on twrp
