What is the real function of "input device" setting for Mi Band 7 Pro? It causes the bluetooth icon to change and I don't like it.

Most likely sending input events, like how a mouse/keyboard/remote controller connection works.
Can you have any thoughts about how disabling it can cause problems? The connection doesn't break and the notifications continue to work.

No idea what kind of input signals it can even send... answering calls? controlling media playback?
The only smart band I ever used for a few minutes was the Mi Band 2. XD
