Hi everyone,

Today I woke up, used my phone. Went to the bathroom, came back and the message "the system has been destroyed" is displaying.
I can open Fastboot (power+volume down) but not the power+volume up option, it just displays the "system has been destroyed" message. What can I do?

I understand it's an old phone, I have used it for thousands of hours, dropped it a bunch of times as well, but it's been an absolute workhorse. I was planning on buying a new phone along with a new mobile plan I'll be getting, so I'd rather do something to fix my Redmi 8 now, even if it's just a temporary fix (i.e. for a month or two). It's a bit urgent since I'm on holiday and need to have my phone to navigate, communicate with my family, etc.

I've never used any unofficial ROMs on the phone, or have tinkered with it in any way, so my knowledge is a bit lacking compared to some others on this forum.

Thanks in advance!
