Unable to open attachments in E-mail app

I recently bought a MI Pad 4 in the Netherlands (xiaomiproducts.nl).
When I try to open an attachment in the E-mail app, following bug show up :

If you only want to solve this issue, try using another email client from the play store, like Bluemail, Outlook, etc.
It is not clear what ROM you have on your device, as the GUI shows MIUI 10.1 and the error shows MIUI 9.6. It may be from a global stable ROM from Mi Mix 2S hacked to run on this Mi Pad 4.

I have the same problem, it not depends on the mailbox app but with the mail content.

Then it is the custom vendor ROM issue.
I use the official China ROM in English with Google services without almost any issues.
If you install xiaomi.eu ROM according to the instructions, it should work fine as well with global language support.

Just go to ROM Download in this forum and there are instructions for the xiaomi.eu ROMs.
For official China ROM, find/ask for instructions for flashing a full fastboot stable ROM MIUI 10.2.1.0 on en.miui.com.
