Unlock Xiaomi Phone When Forgotten Password

Hi I forgot my phones password since it was broke and it took me a while to repair it. So far the only solution I found was to use mi unlock. Problem here is that I can't use it because I never logged in on the mi account on the phone.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions! Stuck with an old phone and really don't want to buy a new one again so soon...
