I registered a mi account, bound the mobile phone number to the account, applied for unlocking permission, waited 3 days then unlocked, flashed twrp, and flashed xiaomi.eu rom to replace china rom. I dropped and broke that phone and have now received a replacement device which I have put the same sim/phone number in. How do I unlock this new replacement phone in order to once again replace the china rom with the xiaomi.eu rom? Do I sign in with the mi account I used with the previous phone (which had the same phone number) and apply to unlock, or should I register a new mi account for the replacement phone? Someone told me if I sign in with my existing mi account I have to wait 30 days rather than only 3 days, which makes me think perhaps I should register a new account? Thanks for any advice. Craig
