Put rom in pad memory and boot in twrp, and install from here.

j tried to update but on the screen comes install update.zip failed

You must unlock bootloader and install recobery twrp in order to install xiaomi eu rom

How can I confirm, that the mipad 2 has an unlocked bootloader. When I try "fastboot oem device-info" I only get an "unknown command" or something similar returned...
You must onstall adb and fastboot commands in your pc...

Fastboot work:

But apperantly not the "oem device-info" paramter

I updated to the latest rom on the Xaomi webssite but now have lost all the Play store etc... everything is chineese. Ive looked through this website and seen the custom EU Roms and downloaded a few and tried to install using the flash tool.
The device is in fastboot mode (picture saying Fastboot) but when I use the batch file I get an error about device mismatch.... what do I need to do?

Have a look into windows device manager, when your device in fastboot mode and connected to pc. 95% - no drivers installed.

Yes I dont think ive got ADB installed properly. I struggled with this part in the past. I will try formatting my hrd drive with a fresh install of windows and try 1.4.2 again...

Don't think you nee to reinstall windows. try just to change usb port mi pad 2 connected to and be sure that usb cable connected to pc during pad boting into fastboot mode.

I have had probles before with ADB, ive never got it working on my computer. I will try a clean install just to try. Just to confirm i started with the stock rom which came with the mipad but must have been modded as it had play store... i update to MUI8 using updater. All I need to do is install your ROM to get play store again?
I also get boot loader error (5.03 i think) and have to press up to start or down for fast boot.... is this normal?
UPDATE : SO windows is installed, Ive installed ADB 1.4.3 (it says success and 4 files copied. The google 64 bit drivers so as success on install.... but when i boot my mipad in fastboot mode i get an exclamation in device manager and a driver was not succesfully installed. What do I do?

Hi,
So ive confirmed my Mipad does not load the windows drivers in fastboot mode, it works in normal mode. CAn somebody please help with the drivers as im currently stuck with a tablet i cant use!

I had similar problem. You have to install INTEL USB driver for android. Google for that, I can't paste link yet.
After that my pc found pad in fastboot.
