Update To Android 7

Hello i am currently on xiaomi.eu 6.9.29
I want to update to one of the last updates with android 7
Which one you recommend and how I update?
And can I update without restart the apps (and apps locations) ,wallpaper etc.. ?

Update to 6.12.22 then update to the Nougat MIUI version of choice. This is done via updater. It will lock your bootloader.

I couldn't recommend any Nougat MIUI ROM since I am very disappointed with them.
I advice you to stay away from them as they are not fully " baked" yet.

It's better to clean install, because this is another Android version

You can't clean install 7.1 with 5.1 bootloader. That's why it has to be done through Updater App.

You can clean install 6.12.22 but he wants to keep apps, wallpaper, etc.

And if I'm already in 7.1.1 based on LineageOS, will my bootloaded will be locked too?

If you install a MIUI Nougat version it will lock your bootloader, yes.

That is not good.
Is there any change that does not happen in a future release?

Just ask for unlocking permissions in advance.

If you don't want to go thru the unlocking process I would suggest you wait until Android 7 is further developed, at present it does not contain all the Nougat features...But if you must keep in mind it WILL lock your bootloader.....

When I bought the phone, asked for the unlocking premissions, but the official process to unlock never worked, so I've used an alternative way used to unbrick a bricked phone.
With Nougat I guess that is not possible.
