Updater app can't find update

I have a Mi 9 cepheus currently on MIUI 12.0.2 stable, the updater app says my device is already on latest update but I noticed there's a 12.5 update available for my phone


Will I eventually receive it through the app or should I update manually? If so then is it safe to use the updater app to apply the package?

Thank you! Do I need to format data to update from 12.0.2 to 12.5 stable? Sorry for my noob questions, it's my first time using custom roms.

From stable to stable, it is not needed, but a backup is always good practice.
