Vibration incoming call

Hi,
It seems that when receiving calls is not possible to activate the vibration (normal mode). So, the phone rings but does not vibrate.
Is it a bug?

I'd be thankful for such behavior, as my SGS (running MIUI 1.5.20) does it the other way round. It seems to be impossible to deactivate the vibration. Whenever I set the phone to vibrate "in silent mode only", it straightly jumps back to "always". Some other people from a German Android community stated to have the same issue… Any suggestions on how to fix this?

In addition I would like to ask, if it would be manageable to implement a panel to control the intensity/strength of the vibration. IMHO the current one is way too heavy.
