Viper4Android problem

I've got a problem, which I'm not sure how to solve. I'm on Xiaomi mi2s, WIUI rom, and I just can't get V4A to work.

I switched Dolby Surround off, even froze the app to be sure it won't intervene, but V4A still won't do process any effects. Also tried compatible and force modes, still nothing. Also, I am running 2.3.1.1 version, as I read that newer don't work because of an app. Do you have any idea what might be the problem?

I installed last version of V4A downloaded from official Viper4Android site, MIUI 27 Dec 2013 version, regular installation by clicking on V4A apk: everything works as expected also with Dolby enabled
(on MIUI the only thing you have to do is granting root permission to V4A)
