Wallpaper issues in 1.7.15

Hi, I'm getting a strange error with my wallpaper, sometimes the bottom half of the background turns dark. Nothing seems to make it go away even a reboot. Then randomly it will dissapear.
Any ideas?

so I guess it's common:

it can be resolved by switching True Color Rendering ON, but then launcher gets laggy, and I believe it wasn't present at previous versions. If part of the wall can be ok with this option OFF then rest of it also should

Yeah mine fixes when I choose, hi res graphics on. Makes the launcher very sluggish though.
