Weather Location

Hi Experts,

I own a MiNote 2, I usually keep my GPS off, but on my lock screen the weather shows my exact area name and weather ? How is this possible, is this a security issue? im on Globe ROM 7.1.5

i live in different city, and travel to work, GPS when I reach my work location and the lock screen weather gets updated with my exact location?

Location Can be detected by the phone, less precise though, with mobile data and wifi as well, other than GPS.
You have to disable positioning in settings to prevent localization at all.
