You can try switching back to stock ROM and lock the bootloader since there are users reporting it solves the problem.

Apart from that, look here:

The problem is, I have a Xiaomi 14 pro from China and it only has English and Chinese as languages. That's why I had the bootloader unlocked to flash the Xiaomi EU rom

I had the same problem yesterday on MIUI.eu, Android 12.
I installed Kitsune Magisk (latest canary version).
I enabled Zygisk in the Kitsune settings.
Then i installed LSPosed version "LSPosed-npm-v1.9.2-7086-zygisk-release"

and then I installed the BootloaderSpoofer module into LSPosed, then I selected whatsapp in the BootloaderSpoofer and that was enough to start whatsapp on MIUI.

This same procedure didn't work on LineageOS and I still get the "non official whatsapp" error, but that's okay, I've definitely replaced whatsapp with Signal because i'm currently running LOS.

That's a whole lot of hacks just to use one of the worst apps in existence.

The question is whether it also works with HyoerOs?

At this point Meta is just forcing WhatsApp users to switch to another messaging app. Having this same issue on iOS talks about the true nature of the problem and it is clearly Meta banning phone numbers

I had success with GbWhatsapp and can continue to use WhatsApp without any problems, only the advertising bothers me a little.

My phone is Bootloader unlocked and rooted HyperOS Android 14

1- Magisk installed (v28.0)
2- I installed the PlayIntegrityFix (v17.8) Module (I rebooted, this solved my Google Play certificate problem)
Before installing this module, go to Google Play application settings and press the clear all data option
3- I installed the LSposed Module (v1.9.2) (required for bootloader spoofer) (I rebooted)
4- I downloaded and installed the Bootloader Spoofer (v3.8) from LSposed, from the module search section. (if you type bootloader spoofer in search it will come up directly) When I downloaded and installed it as APK, it did not see the module (IMPORTANT)
5- I downloaded the Key Attestation application from the play store (it shows whether you did the bootloader spoofer correctly)

PROCEDURES
1- Install everything above step by step
2- Go to Play Store settings>about if it says device is not certified below press verify. It will be certified.
3- Delete WhatsApp
4- Go to LSposed, press the "bootloader Spoofer" module from the module section, find the "Key Attestation" application and mark it. Now long press on it and force stop it. Long press again and start it if it says "bootloader locked" it is done.
5- Restart the phone and let it recover (we have already restarted it many times while loading the modules)
6- Download and install Whatsapp as an apk from its own website (DO NOT OPEN)
7- Enter Magisk, click on settings from the top right, go down and click "configure reject list", find "whatsapp application and mark it, make sure the "force reject list" option is off, you are done with magisk
8- Enter LSposed, come to the module section, press the "bootloader Spoofer" module, mark Whatsapp, you are done with LSposed
9- Restart the phone
10- Enter Whatsapp, write your number and it will verify.

Y'all are overreacting a bit I think.
Install magisk (v27.0 or v28.1), enable zygisk, add WA to deny list and install play integrity fix magisk module.

This setup has worked for me ever since I got my 14 pro. From HyperOS 1.0 weekly dev builds until now with HyperOS 2.0 stable 2.0.7.
