Whatsapp Notification Sound

Hi,
from few days, on my mi5, WhatsApp no longer plays the notification tone unless it is not set to one of those system ... what happened?

I installed the weekly ROM 7.3.23eu this morning, and I did a full-wipe but unfortunately the problem remain

any ideas?

Only the sounds from the phone work with whatsapp after the update thr app. I use the stable miui. It's a problem from what's app not miui.

It is whatsapp version. downgrade to a previous one. I had 2.17.107 and had the same problem.
I uninstalled it and put 2.17.79 and it is ok now.

For now I solved doing the root and copying the files I want as notification sound in system/media/audio/notifications

Doesn't work for me. Redmi 4X with nougat
