I saw LinageOS team is trying to make Nougat 14.1 for our device but xiaomi hasn't released any source code for it. They are using Mi5 code for our device. It will take time.. a long time.

It takes a little bit more time, same with older mi phones. i think xiaomi is still working on miui 9 and android 7. calm down, its not a big jump from android 6 to 7. when you use miui you cant see android 7 update most time.

No one involved in development or in decision making will reply.
The best you can get is a reply from a moderator saying that great things are arriving (but they don't know what and when) and you have to just wait.

Well it seems things are moving a little...
It seems there's a device tree for Natrium on the Lineage git/gerrit.

Maybe within some days/weeks we'll have a Validus or RR or DU ROM ready.
If the kernel + device tree is proven to work, I'll compile those myself !

I can't see the normal Xiaomi mi5s, only plus.

Hi,

Natrium is the mi5s Plus.
mi5s is "Capricorn".

So yes, in my post I was referring to the device tree for Natrium.
As I do not own the mi5s, I did not checked it.
Sorry for the confusion :-(
