Where Do Hidden Files Go?

Hello, as you know you can hide files and open them up with a password. But i have hidden some files and they are not in the "hidden folder". So, where did they go? Do you know where?

They should go in
/sdcard/FileExplorer/.safebox
but the folder is hidden by FileExplorer app.
I can see it using Root Browser, anyway the files are encrypted.

Thanks for your reaction. I have hidden some notes and they were 'gone'. But I just swiped down (like in Explorer for entering hidden files) in the Note App and there's also a hidden screen. I found the files there. I will find out more in which apps you can hide files.
