I've been using the stock browser because I love the interface, but have noticed quite significant battery lossage since switching from Opera Mobile...I used to be able to go a whole day with somewhat heavy usage and be at around 60% at the end of the day; now, after very minimal usage of the stock browser, after about 8 hours I only have 40% left. What browser gets the best battery life? Or rather, what browser doesn't use much juice to run?

i prefer stock.

Im not sure what you use your browser for etc - but have you played with the settings? how about :

  • Loading images - Enable / Disable / Enable in Wifi
  • Bandwidth saving mode - Disable/Enable/Enable in non-wifi connection
  • Display Flash Content - Always on / Always off / Show on Demand
Tweak these and see how you get on in stock browser

Note : having any of these setting enabled in full whilst using mobile network will drain you battery.

i used OPERA BROWSER & i guess it's a power saver. not sure tho .. its just my own observation.

Opera Mini Web browser is best browser. It's got some cool features:
-Pinch-to-zoom and smooth panning
-Synchronize bookmarks, Speed Dial and more
-Twitter and Facebook support is built-in
