Will The Mi6 Work With Xiaomi Mi Vr2 Headset?

Hello,

I have a Xiaomi Mi VR2 headset and I would like to know if the Mi6 will also support it or not?
As far I could find only the Mi5, Mi5s, Mi5 Plus and the Mi Note 2 are currently supported.

In think not, because the usb plug inside the VR2. The Mi6 uses the new USB-C, and the VR2 uses the old one (most common)

The plug inside the VR2 is USB-C (as it is on all the mentioned supported phones). So I think it should work.
