New Wrong Carrier In The Status Bar

I have carrier turned on in the status bar, but it says T-Mobile. I am connected to a T-Mobile mast, but it was bought by EE and they merged. I am actually on BT Mobile, every other phone says BT and it says it in the network selection screen under T-Mobile. I would set it manually but the data type is also in the carrier name.

An EE sim card also shows T-Mobile, even when connected to 4G.

Because the ROM was a community version, I'm trying the official from XIAOMI.EU

You can change the name in settings

I would but then it doesn't show the data connection type.

Once a merge happened in my country too and I had the previous operator name on my sim for few years. Getting a new sim solved the problem.
I would advice the same if your operators merged and you have the old one.

Nope, I've got the new one. It says BT on it.

Maybe you are in roaming. Disable it.
