Hi everyone,
I am experiencing a critical biometric and sensor-related issue on my Xiaomi 15 Ultra running the latest Xiaomi.eu HyperOS 3.0.303.0 Stable ROM. There seems to be a deep integration/permission breakdown between the camera framework and the system sensors.
Issue 1: Face Unlock Registration Fails Instantly
I navigate to Settings -> Fingerprints, Face Unlock & Screen Lock.
I click on "Add Face Data" and pass through the initial prompt screen.
The exact moment I check the privacy agreement and hit the "Start" button, the biometric service completely crashes.
Instead of activating the front camera circle to scan my face, it immediately throws a system toast error saying "Yüz verisi eklenemedi" (Face data could not be added) and forces me back to the menu.
Issue 2: Stock Camera Exposure & Color Inconsistency
In addition to the Face Unlock crash, the Stock Camera app experiences extreme behavior with exposure metering and color science under indoor ambient lighting:
Sometimes it completely overexposes the highlights, ruining the dynamic range and pumping up the saturation to an aggressive, unnatural red/orange tint.
Other times, in similar loş light conditions, it completely fails to gather light and shoots an almost completely black/underexposed image.
Note: *no-support-for-this-app-on-this-forum* ports with custom configs (like AGC) do not suffer from this, meaning the hardware is fine, but the stock camera's interaction with the light/ambient sensors on this build is bugged.
It feels like the camera framework cannot properly talk to the ambient light/biometric sensors on this specific 3.0.303.0 build.
I have attached screenshots of my system specs, the face registration failure point, and camera samples showing the extreme inconsistency. Has anyone found a fix or patch for this on the 15 Ultra?
Thanks!
